Manthe, Lorraine (Marriage - 24 Sept. 1960)
Christ Lutheran church was the scene of the wedding of Mrs. Lorraine Manthe of Abbotsford and Robert Zasada of Green Bay Saturday evening at 7 o’clock. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the services during which Herbert Juneau sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and he and Miss Dorothy Kieser sang "O Perfect Love."
The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hoffman of Abbotsford and the groom’s mother is Mrs. Marcia Zasada of Green Bay.
The bride appeared in a full suit of olive green with which she wore brown accessories. She pinned a white orchid corsage at the shoulder line.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leffel of Edgar, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, attended the couple. Ushers were Herman Hoffman Jr., of Owen, and Gerald Zasada of Green Bay.
Mrs. Leffel wore a green plaid suit with olive green accessories. Her corsage was of yellow roses and feathered white carnations.
Following the service, supper was served in the church dining room for about 125 guests.
The bridal table was centered with a decorated wedding cake. A reception attended by about 200 guests followed at the village hall.
After Mr. and Mrs. Zasada return from a wedding trip to Milwaukee, they will be at home in Abbotsford. Mrs. Zasada is employed at Wing’s Drug Store and Mr. Zasada as communication lineman with the Milwaukee Road railroad.
