Cornwell, Katherine (28 October 1873 - 30 December 1958)

 

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Katherine Cornwell, 85, who died Monday at Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

 

The Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the Methodist Church, was to officiate, with burial in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Cornwell was born October 28, 1873, in Clark County, where she resided most of her life.  She was the wife of the late Leland Cornwell.  She was a member of the Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors of America, Golden Link Lodge, No. 78.

 

She is survived by four children: Mrs. Walter (Nina) Cattanach, Owen; Mrs. Emil (Blanche) Luther, Tomahawk; Rottie Cornwell, Hemet, Cal.; and Harold Cornwell, Petaluma, Cal.  A brother, Wilfred Haslett, Seattle, Wash., 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Cornwell, 85, were conducted Wednesday from the Georgas Funeral home. The Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Bert and Robert Cattanach, Lester, Kenneth, Douglas and Gerald Luther.

 

People from out of town here for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Emil Luther and Gerald, Hereford Junction; Mrs. Walter Cattanach, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cattanach, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cattanach, Thorp; Mrs. Carol Cornwell, Eagle River; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Luther, Judy and Jean, and Charles Haslett, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Luther, Nancy and Barbara, Marathon; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Luther, James and Sandra, Dancy; (a few names appear to be missing.)
