Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead and daughter, Nancy, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Murphy and two daughters of Princeton, Minn., were dinner guests Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Johnston at Loyal.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Vandeberg of York are staying with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Richmond, Jr. Mrs. Vandeberg is ill and Mrs. Richmond is caring for her.
Mrs. Donald Hughes and her twin daughters, Bettie and Bonnie, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Klix in Milwaukee. Mrs. William Vine and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Short, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Linster and two children of Plymouth were guests Friday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. James Hughes.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bartz and children of Granton were guests at dinner on New Year’s day of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hughes.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Linster and children were holiday guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Vine, and Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Linster of Weston.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Short entertained on New Year’s Day at dinner her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Magnuson and daughter, Shirley, who was home from Minneapolis.
Miss Joyce Holt, who is employed at Wausau, spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merton Holt. Miss Yvonne Braatz, also employed in Wausau, spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Victor Braatz.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kuehn and children of Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kuehn and children of Marshfield, were dinner guests New Year’s Day of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kuehn.
Mrs. John Iwaszenko visited over New Year’s Day with her son, Victor, and daughter, Helen in Chicago, and with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Koroluk at Berwyn, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vine visited on New Year’s Day with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Feutz, at Wisconsin Rapids.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vine and children visited last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Griffith, at River Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schnabel of Aberdeen, S. D., visited over New Year’s Day with his mother, Mrs. Alfred Schnabel, and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt and sons visited last weekend with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Crockett, in Washburn.
Granton schools reopened Monday after a two-week holiday.
Prin. LaVern Rick and his family visited with her parents at Birnamwood and his parents at Marshfield during the holidays.
The Granton Bulldogs will meet Loyal in the Granton gym Friday evening in a conference game.
