Haslow, Edward C. (7 JUL 1878 - 9 MAR 1951)
Edward Carl Haslow, 72, died of a heart attack at his home Friday evening, March 9, 1951.
Mr. Haslow was born July 7, 1878, in Mayville, Dodge Co. He came to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) with his parents when a boy of seven years of age. The family settled on a farm in the town of Sherman. His marriage to Gerelda Klahn took place Sept. 20, 1905 in the Lutheran Church in Loyal. They moved to the city of Loyal 7 years ago, where Mr. Haslow worked in various occupations.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and served on its church board for many years. He also served on school boards in the towns of Sherman and Loyal, and also on the Loyal Town Board.
He is survived by his wife, four sons, Walter, Wis. Rapids; Raymond, Ironton, Minn.; Harold, Spring Green; and Donald, Belleville, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Young, Loyal; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; four brothers, gust and Robert, Loyal; Charles and Will, Spencer, and a sister, Mrs. Will Kusa, Loyal.
One child and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.
Nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers. They were Arnold Haslow, Elmer Haslow, Norman Haslow, and Paul Haslow.
The hymns, "Sometimes We’ll Understand," "My Jesus, I Love Thee," and "Saved by Grace," were sung by Mrs. Romaine Rossow and Mrs. Emma Rottjer, with Miss Rochelle Lautenbach as organist.

Bredlau, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haslow, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Haslow, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Vogel, Wis. Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kline, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Lewis, Lindsey.
