Dr. Debra Lee Miller and Dr. Matthew James Gray were married on May 29, 2010 in Dahlonega, GA.
The wedding ceremony took place overlooking the vineyards at Frogtown Cellars with Pastor Earl Steffens of Peace Lutheran Church, Tifton, GA, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ray and Jeanette Miller, Unity.
The groom is the son of Sharon Malloy, Flushing, MI and Jim and Karen Gray, Flint, MI.
The bride wore a Far and Away gown by Allure. The gown was a princess silhouette of organza over imperial satin with silver and pearl beaded straps, a pleated bodice with neckline outlined with the beaded edging, an open back with a single-point (from bodice) closure, a soft flare skirt, and a chapel length train. She wore fingerless opera length gloves and pleated ruched satin sandals. She carried a hand-tied, tree form bouquet containing a cold porcelain water lily and fresh pitcher plants, irises, calla lilies, and galax leaves.
The bridesmaids were Dr. Victoria Woshner, matron of honor and friend of the bride, Dr. Christine Crocker, maid of honor and friend of the bride, Dr. Jessica King, friend of the bride, and Dr. Carly Langlais, sister of the groom. The bridesmaids wore full-length celadon chiffon gowns by Jasmine. The gowns had empire waists, pleated Grecian bodices, and flared skirts. The bridesmaids wore silver sandals and carried bouquets similar to the bride.
The groomsmen were Jim Havlichek, best man and friend of the groom, Brian Kolevar, friend of the groom, Tom Williams, friend of the groom, and Scott Gray, brother of the groom. The groom and groomsmen wore single-button, satin trimmed, notched tuxes by Jean Yves with single pleated trousers. Boutonnieres were calla lilies.
Ushers were Bryan Gray, nephew of the groom, and Dr. Kris Langlais, brother-in-law of the groom.
Readers were Donna Gray, sister-in-law of the groom, Dr. Victoria Woshner, matron of honor and friend of the bride, and Brenda Roberts, friend of the bride.
Harpist Sandra Harris of Celebration Harp, Roswell, GA provided the music during the ceremony.
Scott Mikell of Spectrum Entertainment, Atlanta, GA provided the music for the reception and dance.
Cake and flowers were by Mark Fitchpatrick and Anna McNabb of Mark Fitchpatrick Designs, Atlanta, GA.
Dinner and wine were by Cydney and Craig Kritzer, founders of Frogtown Cellars. Photographer was Javier Vargas, friend of the couple and videographer was Nathan Haislip, friend of the couple.
After the wedding, the couple honeymooned in Italy.
The bride is an associate professor of pathology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia. She is a graduate of Colby High School. She received her bachelor of science degree from UW-Stevens Point; her MS DVM and PhD from Mississippi State University and residency and postdoctoral training from the University of Miami School of Medicine.
The groom is an associate professor of wildlife ecology at the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of Flushing High School, Flushing, MI. He received his bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University, his MS from Mississippi State University, and Phd and postdoctoral training from Texas Tech University.
