Szaflarski, George (12 April 1872 - 12 January 1959)
Funeral services for George Szaflarski, 86, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, were held Wednesday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Eisenmann officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery. Mr. Szaflarski was found dead n his home Monday morning by a neighbor. Death was due to natural causes.
A general rosary service was said Tuesday evening at the Bergemann Funeral Home. Mr. Szaflarski was born April 12, 1872, in Poland, where he received his education. On October 18, 1895, he was married to Marie Zawadski in Poland. In the early years of 1900 they came to the United States and located in Minneapolis, Minn., where they resided until 1920, when they came to Clark County. They had since resided on a farm in the Town of Levis. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by two sons, John and Louis, both of Chicago, Ill.; and three daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Marie) Zemien, Minneapolis, Minn., Miss Sophia Szaflarski of Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Angeline Guminga, Minneapolis, Minn. Other survivors include two brothers, Carl of Minneapolis and Andrew of Rib Lake; and two sisters, Anna in Poland, and Mrs. Magdeline Glodek of Minneapolis, Minn.
