Mrs. Laverne Vanderwyst entertained Friday afternoon in honor of the birthday of her daughter, Darlene. Everything came in nine’s for Darlene. She was nine years old on January 9 in 1959 with nine girls present to make her day one to remember. Present were Joanne Morley, Joyce Dahl, Helen and Mary Schreber, Nancy Hoeft, Janet Garbisch, Patsy Coyle, Cheryl and Sandy Marty. Mrs. Vanderwyst served a lunch following games.
Several members of the M. Y. F. of Granton Methodist Church attended a sub-district rally in Spencer Sunday afternoon. They were: John Opelt, Pat Kammerer, "Skipper" Guy, Keith Gardner and Nancy Phipps.
Mr. and Mrs. John Salzer, and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Salzer, Wausau, were Sunday visitors at the Clarence Ganther home.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Pietenpol spent the weekend with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Walters in Marshfield.
Mrs. Bernard Pietenpol will entertain friends Friday at a quilting bee.
Mrs. Hazel Freestone was hostess Thursday evening to a four-some of bridge.
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Witte visited Sunday with relatives in Abbotsford.
