Dewhurst Township Area (January - 1959)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holub of Levis were guests Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Kluckhohn.
The Dells Dam School was closed Friday and Monday due to the illness of the teacher, Miss Virginia Gunia. She was reported to have the "flu".
Earl Hand visited friends in Osseo Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bohac of Hatfield and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harwick and sons, Mark and Paul of Neillsville, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harwick.
Roy Iverson and Joe Topinka visited friends at Alma Center last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. George Wallmuth entertained at their home Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Wallmuth and children of Arcadia; Mr. and Mrs. George Wallmuth and children and Mr. and Mrs. John Subke and children.
Roy Iverson, chairman of Dewhurst, visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Marek, Jr. Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Marek, Jr. visited Sunday with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bartos, near Hatfield.
Miss Barbara Iverson, who has been a patient at University Hospital, Madison, for several weeks, underwent surgery on her left foot last week. Roy Iverson and Charles Marek, Jr., drove to Madison Tuesday to see her.
Ted Janicki returned last weekend from Veterans’ Hospital, Minneapolis where he received treatment for an ear infection. He returned Monday to his work at Marshfield, commuting each day.
