Pine Valley Township Area (January - 1959)
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bardeleben announce the engagement of their son, Arthur, of Beloit, to Miss Betty Rae Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Young, of Sharon. No date has been set for the marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marg and daughter visited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bardeleben.
Miss Nola Rhoades of Marshfield was an overnight guest Friday and Saturday of Miss Caroline Marg.
Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Paasch and daughter of Marshfield visited Mr. and Mrs. Donald Marg Sunday afternoon, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marg Sunday evening.
Miss Joan Baker celebrated her 17th birthday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Baker, Sunday.
Mrs. James Cummings and children of Alma Center visited Thursday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bardeleben, and at the James D. Cummings home in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dux and son of Brillion visited last weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dux and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lahn at Fairchild.
Larry Strangfeld, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Strangfeld, celebrated his fifth birthday Thursday evening, with Mr. and Mrs. John Strangfeld., Mr. and Mrs. Devere Sischo and children of Pine Valley, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Quast of Sparta assisting.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Strangfeld entertained Sunday, Mrs. Leota
Buettner and son, and Mr. and Mrs. James Buettner and daughter of
Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peacock of Eau Claire visited last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Naedler. They also visited their son, David, who is spending a few weeks with his grandparents.
