Fravert, Otto Henry (2 October 1895 - 2 February 1959)
Otto Henry Fravert, 63, lifelong resident of Greenwood, died early Monday morning, February 2, in Veteran’s Hospital at Wood, where he had been a patient since August.
Mr. Fravert, the son of Henry and Margaret (Vollrath) Fravert, was born October 2, 1895, in the Town of Warner on the Fravert homestead, and had lived there his entire life. He was married to Alma Franz at Greenwood on January 12, 1921. She died in October, 1953.
He was a veteran of World War I, serving in France and Germany. For 21 years he served as treasurer for the Town of Warner. He was a member of the West Side Church and a member of the Wallis-Hinker American Legion Post.
He is survived by three sons, LeRoy, Orlin and Allen, all of Greenwood; six grandchildren; a brother, Albert Fravert of Greenwood; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Plath and Mrs. Lydia A Warner, both of Racine.
Military funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon from the West Side United Church of Christ. The Rev. Orval Egbert officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Norbert Kuester, Richard Moldenhauer, Alfred Schwarze, Arthur Schwarze, George Kuester and Philip Vollrath.
