Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lueth and baby were overnight gusts Saturday of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Beard, at Westboro, and attended the wedding of her brother Sunday.
Among those who attended the R. E. A. meeting at Black River Falls Wednesday were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Putman, Mr. and Mrs. Alter Sheffer, Mr. and Mrs. John Burchell, Mr. and Mrs. George Dimmitt and Percy Bemis. Fran k J. Scheffer, Humbird, is one of the directors.
The Happy Hour Homemaker Club met last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Herman Gerber with 10 members present. The lesson on "School Government" was given by Mrs. Edwin Scholze and Mrs. Clarence Giloy.
Union Lenten services will be held Wednesday, March 4, in the Methodist Church. Rev. Carl Serr of the Evangelical and Reformed Church will speak, with Harold Losey presiding.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rosalock of Eau Claire called Saturday afternoon at the home of his uncle, Adolph Rosalock.
Mr. and Mrs. John Burchell were in Eau Claire Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hart spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Alton Stallard in Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rosalock of Eau Claire, were supper guests Saturday at the Adolph Jahn home in Alma Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Schlei of Green Bay were guests of her sister, Mrs. Henry Laffe, and mother, Mrs. Clouse, from Saturday until Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Wold and family of Black River Falls came Sunday to join the group for dinner and the afternoon.
The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hibbard Krumholz, Debra Kay, was baptized Sunday morning by Rev. Carl Serr in St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church.
The Women’s Guild of St. john’s Evangelical and Reformed Church will meet March 5, in the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gerber spent Saturday evening at the Adolph Jan home in Alma Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Ender and family of Sparta came up Sunday to have dinner and help Mrs. Harold Morgan celebrate her birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hart enjoyed a Washington Birthday dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Morley in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. John Grueb and Louis and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop and family were guests at the Armond Fisher home in Pleasantville Sunday. In the afternoon the men took in the ski meet at Strum.
Mrs. Harold Morgan, Mrs. Elmer Duerkop and Mrs. Kally Theiler accompanied Mrs. Louis Bredlow of Black River Falls to Eau Claire Monday and Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gearing accompanied a machine dealer from Curtiss to Milwaukee Thursday, where they all boarded a plane for Detroit, Mich., and attended an implement convention. Mrs. Lydia Johnston of Fairchild was with the Gearing children while they were gone.
Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin were in Alma Center Monday afternoon.
Mrs. Sam Newton accompanied Mrs. Thane Joos and Kren of Alma Center to Eau Claire Wednesday and spent the day at the Archie Nelson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Printz’s daughter, Connie is reported sick with "flu".
