On Saturday morning, July 14th, 1951, in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Norbert King at St. Anthony’s Catholic rectory, Miss Joan Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo M. Meyer of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Milton J. Knack, were married. Mr. Knack is the son of Mrs. Henry Thwing, Loyal, and Mr. Thwing.
A white eyelet street length dress was chose by the bride. Her white hat completed her costume and she carried a colonial bouquet of roses in yellow, pink and white.
Miss Jane Schellinger, Loyal, was the bride’s only attendant. Her dress was of pale blue eyelet and she carried a bouquet of yellow carnations, and wore several yellow carnations in her hair.
Alan Meyer, Loyal, the bride’s brother, served as best man.
After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, where from 1 to 4 p.m. the couple greeted 125 friends and relatives at a reception.
Out of town guests included relatives and friends from Loyal, Clintonville, Milwaukee, Wausau, Marion, Stratford, Eau Claire, Wisconsin Rapids, Park Falls, Marshfield, Neillsville, and South Beloit and Chicago, Ill.
Both the bride and groom are employed in the office of the Four Wheel Drive at Clintonville, where they will reside after their wedding trip.
