Seefluth, Leatrice (14 JUL 1951)

Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Wis. Rapids, was the scene of the marriage July 14th, 1951 of Leatrice Seefluth, daughter of Mrs. Emma Seefluth, 610 9th Ave. So., and Walter Meier, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meier, reside at Rudolph.

The wedding was performed at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Eugene Smith officiating.

The bride chose a white nylon marquisette formal with satin covered buttons from neckline to waist.  It featured satin trim on the cape sleeves and Peter Pan collar.  She wore a fingertip veil edged in lace, attached to a crown of orange blossoms.  She carried a bouquet of red roses and snapdragons.

Miss Mary Jane Potter of Wis. Rapids, a friend of the bride, was her only attendant.  She wore a formal of white organdy over yellow taffeta with a bonnet to match.  She had a wrist corsage of yellow and white carnations.  She wore a rhinestone necklace and earrings.

Al VanErt, also of the Rapids, attended the groom.

The mothers of the couple had corsages of pink and white carnations.

A supper was served at the home of the bride’s mother with about 60 guests attending.  A reception followed.

Mrs. Meier graduated from the Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) High School and Mr. Meier from Wautoma High School.

After a trip to Lake Nokomis the couple is now at home at 831 3rd St. So., Wis. Rapids.

Guests at the wedding were from Loyal, Dorchester, Edgar, Marshfield, Appleton and Milwaukee.
