Wittke, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Golden - 27 March 1959)
Approximately 150 relatives, friends and former neighbors gathered at the American Legion Hall Saturday afternoon to attend the open house honoring Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wittke on their 50th wedding anniversary.
In addition to their children, the Jack Parrett’s of Milwaukee, the Victor Schultz family of Eau Claire, and the "Bud" Wittke family of Black River Falls, their eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild were present. Also attending were Mrs. Wittke’s sisters, Mrs. Nellie Armitage and Mrs. Asa Darling with her husband.
Fred Wittke a cousin of Cedar Rapids, Ia., spent several days here.
Others attending from out of the city were: Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Turner, Kirkland, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. William Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ball, Mrs. Francis Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Abijah Herrick, of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. M. Janke, Hixton; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mosier, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Allen, Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Garbisch and children, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilms, West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wittke, Clintonville; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Fradenberg, Humbird; Mrs. Dewey Zittelman, Colfax, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Parrett and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Straube and son, Mark, and Marie Smith, Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Wittke received many gifts.
Mrs. Max Vollmert and Mrs. Susie Schultz had charge of serving the coffee and lunch.
