St. Mary’s Catholic church in Dalton, Nebr. Was the scene of the marriage of Miss Marjorie Ann DeVier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James DeVier of Dalton, to Laurence Shupe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shupe of Loyal, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
The bride wore a hunter green suit with pink accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. She carried a prayerbook and a handkerchief presented to her by her great-grandmother for the occasion.
The bride’s sister, Miss Marva DeVier, was maid of honor, and wore a luggage tan suit, with pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Best man was John Buettner of Sidney, Nebr. Donald Laxterkamp and James Thompson cousin of the bride, were ushers.
A wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom, was served at the reception, held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony. Mrs. Gilbert Meyers cut the cake, and Mrs. Edward Weikhorst poured.
After a wedding trip to Wisconsin, the newlyweds plan to make their home in Greenville, S.C.
The Loyal Tribune extends to the young couple its wishes for happiness.
