Granton, Wisconsin (Cancer Drive Meeting - 1959)
A cancer drive meeting was held Wednesday in the high school and plans were made for the drive now in full swing. Mrs. E. C. Haselow, southern chairman, presided and announced the following as chairmen of their towns: Mrs. Charles Schwanebeck, Sherwood; Mrs. Oliver Williams, Washburn; Mrs. Alvin Schutte, Levis; Mrs. Otto Hasz, Lynn; Mrs. Dale Short, Grant; Mrs. Lois Guest, Pine Valley; Mrs. Manford Cain, Fremont; Mrs. Jack Crothers, York; and Mrs. Fred Grap, Weston. These chairmen will be assisted by district workers.
Others present were: Mrs. Albert Lindow, Mrs. Roy Jennings, Mrs. Lyle Zimmerman, Mrs. Walter Trimberger, Mrs. Elmer Marg, Mrs. B. F. Plummer and Mr. Schwanebeck. A county meeting of directors was held Wednesday in Thorp.
