Granton, Wisconsin Locals (16 April 1959)
Mrs. Robert Wellman and children have returned to their home in Moline, Ill., after spending two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Callie Schoengarth.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nowack entertained their card club Saturday evening. Prizes were merited by Ed Schlinsog, Roland Quicker, Mrs. Roland Quicker and Allen Montgomery.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Winter entertained at Sunday dinner in honor of the confirmation of their daughter Joyce, who was confirmed Sunday morning at Zion American Lutheran Church. Guests were Miss Ruth Winter, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Ceylon Winter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sternitzky and family; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sternitzky, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Winter, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sternitzky and family; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gluch; Janet Winter, Marshfield, and Laverne Landwehr, Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Garbisch, who have been residing on the former Clarence Pannier farm, have moved into the Moldenhauer apartment in Granton.
The Granton Homemakers club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Ray Nowack. It was voted to donate money to the cancer fund. The next meeting will be held in May at the home of Mrs. Leland Garbisch. Guests present besides the members were: Mrs. Fred Bartz, Mrs. Emma Nowack, Mrs. Ralph Riedel and children and Mrs. Ray Barth and Gary.
David Robert 4 ½ months old, is spending this week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Witte, while his mother is a surgical patient.
H. C. Witte, a patient in Memorial Hospital, is improving after being ill with pneumonia.
Mr. and Mrs. William Morley and family visited Sunday with relatives in Eau Claire.
