Washburn Township (23 April 1959)
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rutherford, Black River Falls, were Sunday dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schultz, and helped them celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary.
Irving Stevens purchased a new tractor last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short attended an insurance convention in Eau Claire Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Janisch visited Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn Friday evening.
Mrs. Lynn Feutz, daughter and son of Wisconsin Rapids were Sunday dinner guests at the Chris Feutz home. Lynn was unable to come, as he was ill with "flu".
Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler visited Mrs. William Ottow last week Monday evening.
Harry Carstensen called at the Paul Schultz home Sunday
night.
Major Roy Feutz and son, Roy, Jr., were Saturday dinner guests at
the Everett Raine home.
Mrs. Frank Short spent Sunday and Sunday night with her grandsons, Kenny and Keith Short, while their parents attended a convention in Stevens Point.
Mrs. William Ottow was a Sunday dinner guest of her son, Harold, and his wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ammentorp and family, Milwaukee, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Urban, Sr., and brother, Jack Urban, and his family.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Stevens drove to Hixton Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Rodman called at the Oliver Williams home Sunday.
Mrs. Art Williams is visiting Mrs. Louise Johnson in Kenosha this week.
Mr. and Mrs. William Poler were Sunday dinner guests at the Ernest Backhaus home.
Mrs. Paul Schultz visited Mrs. Paul Kuhn last week Wednesday afternoon while the men folks went fishing. Mrs. Schultz and Mrs. Kuhn also called on Mrs. Frank Short.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams attended the Neillsville P. T. A. meeting at the high school Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Backhaus were Saturday supper guests at the Oliver Williams home.
