Mrs. Gilbert Ahlborn reports that 16 out of 32 students at Happy Hollow School were sick with "flu" last week. Mrs. Eva Christie, Neillsville, is the teacher.
Donald Rowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Rowe, visited friends in Neillsville Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Ahlborn and children Sunday visited friends in Minocqua.
Mr. and Mrs. Oakley Rhead, Beloit visited last weekend with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Metcalf. They also visited Verlin Crockett in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and son, Gary, of York, and Joe and Frank Pachal, of Loyal, called on Mrs. Joe Pachal, at Room 158, Luther Hospital, Eau Claire Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Pachal was injured in an auto accident on Highway 12, near Fairchild, Friday afternoon, and sustained a fractured shoulder and breast bone. She must be on her back for three weeks. She is the mother of Frank Pachal and Mrs. Lavene.
Frank Heinzen is a patient in a Marshfield hospital, where he expected to undergo surgery this week. His brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Heinzen, Madison, are visiting at the Heinzen farm and will assist with the chores.
