Schecklman, Florein (25 AUG 1951)

Miss Florein Schecklman of Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schecklman, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Roland J. Mueller, Milwaukee, son of Mrs. Margaret Mueller, during a nuptial Mass performed by the Rev. father Baer, Saturday morning, Aug. 25, 1951, at St. Michael’s Cathlic Church, Milwaukee.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a chiffon gown with lace peplum and yoke trimmed with rhinestones and featuring a long train.  A crown of orange blossoms held her fingertip veil, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white gladioli blossoms centered with a purple orchid.

Miss Rosalind Schecklman of Milwaukee, sister of the bride, filled the role as maid of honor.  She wore a Nile green dress of net over taffeta with lace bodice and matching cape and headpiece.  The bridesmaid, Joan Kolafa, Milwaukee, wore an identical gown of orchid.

Both carried bouquets of pale yellow gladioli blossoms centered with pink roses.

Frank Kolafa, Milwaukee, was best man, and Kenneth Muller, nephew of the groom, was groomsman.  Ushers were the groom’s two brothers, Louie and Ray Mueller of Milwaukee.

A wedding breakfast and dinner were served to 50 guests at the home of the groom’s mother.  Supper was also served.  In the evening a reception and dance were held at the Jefferson Hall for 250 guests at which the bride and groom greeted friends and relatives.

The bride, a graduate of the Loyal High School with the class of ’43, has been employed the past 7 years as office girl at the Pabst Brewing Co.  Her husband, a graduate of the West Division High School of Milwaukee, served in the Marine Corps for 2 ½ years, and attended Brewers school in New York, where he graduated last spring.  He is now employed in the Pabst Brewery.

The couple spent a week’s honeymoon in Ohio, Kentucky, and here at home.  They will reside at 1931 N. 23rd St. in Milwaukee.

Those who attended the wedding from here were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schecklman, sons Edward and Jimmy, Mrs. Tony Schecklman, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Walter and daughter, Mrs. Frank Fojt.
