GRANTON -- Warren Davis, 85, of Granton, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Warren Eldon Davis was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Granton, the son of Truman and Myrtie (Peaslee) Davis. After high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served from 1944 to 1946. Warren is a World War II veteran stationed in Korea and the Philippines. He later worked for more than 35 years at Weinbrenner's Shoe Factory in Marshfield until his retirement.
He is survived by a brother, Marvin (Mable) Davis of Plato, Mo.; four sisters, Angeline (Robert) Schultz of Greenwood, Shirley Davis of Granton, Patricia (Bernard) Kitzhaber of Greenwood and Ila Mae (William) Wolf of Nekoosa.
Funeral services for Warren will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the York Center United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the York Center Cemetery, with military honors accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
