Dorothy was born Oct. 6, 1917, in the town of Colby, the daughter of Otto and Louise (Schumann) Dins.

Dorothy always enjoyed the company of friends and family. She spent the greater portion of her life assisting many Colby families with their children. Dorothy enjoyed cards, puzzles, cooking and baking. Her favorite times of the year were the holidays when the whole family would gather. To many of Dorothy's nieces and nephews, she was the grandma we never had and the aunt we favored.

Dorothy remained an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, as a volunteer, and a member of the sewing circle and Ladies Aid.

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Bertha Schauer; good friend, Cecil Hornick; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Otto, Harold, Fredrick and Rudy Dins; and a sister, Adeline Krueger.
