Winslow, Alberta J. (16 JUL 1937 - 26 SEP 2010)

ABBOTSFORD -- Alberta Jean Winslow, 73, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at her residence in the town of Unity.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Visitation will take place Friday at the funeral home, from noon until time of service.

Alberta was born July 16, 1937, to Rueben and Edna (Kern) Weltzin in Waterloo, Iowa. She was married to Louis Winslow on Oct. 24, 1953, in Jesup, Iowa. Alberta and Louis farmed until their retirement.

Alberta is survived by her six children, Linda (Leon) Marthaler of Medford, Lee (Theresa) Winslow of Curtiss, Lois (Dale) Blasel of Medford, Laura (Mike) Fosterling of Medford, Lonnie Winslow of Spencer and LuAnn (Robin) Purdy of Medford; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Franklin (Donna) Weltzin of LaPort City, Iowa.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Winslow.
