Leake, Arthur Roy (27 February 1927 - 25 September 2010)
Arthur Leake, 83, of Neillsville died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.
Arthur Roy Leake was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Fountain Township, Juneau County, the son of John and Margaret (Noe) Leake. He was united in marriage to Addie Benedict July 18, 1991, in Neillsville. Art worked most of his life as a truck driver for various trucking companies. He also drove for the Amish.
Art was a member of the Rooster Bar Dart team. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching fishing shows on television.
He is survived by his wife, Addie; his children, Dale, Barb, and Debbie; stepchildren, Billy Kenny, Rosemary, Gloria and Amanda; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Art is also survived by two brothers, Donald and Robert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger; four brothers, Bernard, Ernest, William and Daniel; and three sisters, Ethel, Sis and Jean.
Funeral services for Art were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Douglas Bjerke officiated. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
