Janisch, June A. (Marriage - 4 April 1959)
St. Genevieve’s Church, Chicago, Ill., was the scene of the wedding on Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m. of June A. Janisch and Samuel E. Cortese.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kurt O. Janisch, Rt. 1, Neillsville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Cortese of Chicago.
Miss Jean Janisch, sister of the bride, was maid-of-honor, and Donna and Diane Janisch, twin sisters of the bride, were flower girls. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Frank Cortese, sister-in-law of the groom, Chicago; Romano Fratto, cousin of the groom, Chicago; and Mary Janisch, sister of the bride, Neillsville.
The bride chose a chapel-length gown of white embroidered silk organza over taffeta. The finger-tip veil was held by a crown covered with flowers. She carried a bouquet of lily of the valley and stephanotis surrounding two white orchids.
Jack Cortese, brother of the groom, Chicago, served as bestman. The ushers were: Frank Cortese, brother of the groom, Chicago; Kurt Janisch, Jr., brother of the bride, Neillsville; and Joseph Cortese, brother of the groom, Chicago.
After a reception at Zdrubeck Hall, Chicago, the couple left for a trip to Colorado and California.
The bride graduated from Neillsville High School and is working as a stenographer in Chicago. The groom attended Austin High School and Molar Barber College and is now employed in Villa Park, Ill.
