Granton, Wisconsin (28 May 1959)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trimberger, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne W. Trimberger and daughter of Neillsville, attended graduation exercises at the Birchwood High School Friday evening. A niece and nephew of Mrs. Walter Trimberger, Susan and James Skar of Edgewater, were members of the graduating class.

 

Mrs. Fred Bartz went to Brillion Monday to spend two weeks with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Helm.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Quicker and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schlinsog went Saturday to Yellow Lake to spend several days fishing.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler were Sunday dinner guests at the Martin Reinart home in Merrillan.

 

Mrs. Elva Endicott is spending several weeks with her brother in Viroqua.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Friedricks of Rice Lake were weekend guests at the Leland Garbisch home.

 

Erlin Garbisch of Milwaukee will arrive Friday to spend the Memorial weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch, and plans to attend the Stonedahl-Garbisch wedding in La Crosse Saturday.

 

Duane Garbisch and fiancée, Miss Nancy Stonedahl, La Crosse, were weekend house guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Garbisch.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoeft and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schlinsog spent the weekend fishing at Island Lake near Bruce.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Witte and family left Monday after spending several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Witte.  They will reside in a cottage on Long Lake until he is ordained as a minister on June 14.  Robert was graduated Sunday from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Morley and family, and her mother, Mrs. Foemmel, left Wednesday on a two-week vacation trip to New York State for a visit with relatives and to attend the wedding of a nephew.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nowack and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Riedel have returned from a week with Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Schultz in Oshkosh.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidtke, accompanied by Mrs. Hugh Berg, Mrs. Callie Schoengarth and Mrs. Mabel Austin, visited Sunday afternoon with the Rev. and Mrs. Wendell Bennetts, near Plainfield.

 

Fidelity Camp, No. 6375, of the Royal Neighbor Lodge, will meet tonight (Thursday) in the village hall to practice for the forthcoming county convention to be held June 4, in Loyal.

 

Gerald Heimke of Chippewa Falls is spending this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Heimke and also attended graduation of his sister, Lillian, from the Granton High School.

 

Mrs. Fred Bartz and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch attended funeral service Saturday in Chili for Mrs. Paul Feder.
