Garbisch, Maryanne (Marriage - 30 May 1959)
Maryanne Patricia Garbisch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Garbisch of Rt. 2 Loyal, became the bride of Noel John Olson., Rt. 1 Loyal, at a double ring ceremony performed May 30 by the Rev. Joseph Eisenmann in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The groom’s parents are: Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson of Rt. 1 Loyal.
The bride was attired in a wedding gown of white lace over satin, with a trim of ruffled satin and metal edging. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses and white lilies of the valley. Her hand was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Harry Werner, a sister of the bride; and bridesmaids were Miss Diann Becker of Loyal and Miss Phyllis Ellison, friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were the Misses Patricia Werner and Diane Lieshe, both of Milwaukee, nieces of the bride.
Attending the groom were Harry Werner, brother-in-law of the bride, as bestman; Norman Olson of Milwaukee and Donald Olson of Loyal, brothers of the groom. Ushers were Elmer Romang, a cousin of the bride and Dennis Olson, a brother of the groom.
Flowergirl was Miss Vicki Werner, a niece of the bride, of Milwaukee.
St. Mary’s Church was decorated in pink, blue and white streamers, with white bells. White bridal wreath and pink carnations added to the decorations. Two hundred guests were present.
The St. Mary’s choir sang, "On This Day, O Beautiful Mother."
A reception was held, following the ceremonies, at the home of the bride and at the American Legion Hall in Neillsville. The hall was decorated in pink, blue and white streamers, caught with white bells.
Following a honeymoon to Wisconsin Dells and southern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will be at home on Loyal, Rt. 2, after June 3.
The bride attended Pleasant View School and was graduated from Loyal High School. The groom, who is employed in Marshfield, attended Sunny Knoll School and Loyal High School.
Out of town relatives attending the wedding were from Wausau, Superior, Milwaukee, Greenwood, Chicago, Cudahy, Neillsville, Racine, Pittsville, Wisconsin Rapids and from the State of New Jersey.
