Chesmore, Margaret (Marriage - 6 June 1959)

Miss Margaret L. Chesmore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James O. Chesmore of Marshfield, became the bride of Edmund Zschernitz, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Zschernitz of Neillsville, at  a nuptial high mass in St. John’s Catholic Church at Marshfield Saturday. The double ring ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Donald Wilger.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a wedding gown fashioned of delicate rosepoint type lace and nylon tulle over bridal satin. The floor-length gown was fashioned with a scalloped semi-scoop neckline, encrusted with sequins. An all-lace scalloped tunic flowed gracefully over bouffant tulle and tiny net ruffled skirt. A pure silk fingertip illusion veil fell from a diamond point tiara.

The matron of honor was the groom’s sister, Mrs. William Seif of Neillsville, and the bridesmaid was a sister of  the bride, Rose Chesmore of Marshfield.  Their dresses were styled of minuet blue silk organza over taffeta.  A cowl-draped neckline, with tiny bows on each shoulder, enhanced the empire bodice.   Tiny satin pearl studded bows were scattered over the bouffant ballerina-length, bubble skirts. They wore Grecian tapered sequin cloche and blusher veils in matching blue. 

The bride’s mother, was present in a light blue sheath dress, with white accessories; and the groom’s mother wore a light pastel dress. Each wore a corsage of pink and white carnations.

The school choir sang, "On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother" and "Ave Maria".

Bestman was Wayne Katas of Marshfield, cousin of he bride; and the groomsman was Frank Holub of Boyd.  Jimmy Quicker of Neillsville, and Gerald Chesmore, were ushers.

A wedding breakfast was held at the home of Mrs. Chester Johnson in Marshfield, and a reception was held in the Knights of Columbus hall. A dance was held in the evening at the Eagles hall.

The bride is a graduate of Marshfield schools, and has been employed in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where the groom is employed as a laboratory technician.  He is a graduate of Neillsville High School.

The young couple left on a wedding trip into Canada, and will make their home in Marshfield on their return.
