Becker, Mrs. Henry (Walleyes - 1959)
The last 10 casts brought 10 walleyes for Mrs. Henry Becker as she fished last week with her husband, her son, Pat and Mr. Becker’s brother, Frank, of Rib Lake. The fishing party spent the week 150 miles northwest of Fort Williams, Canada. Several portages were made. "We caught our limit of walleyes, northern pike, lake trout and land-locked salmon," said Mr. Becker. "We have never experienced better fishing, and the fish hit live bait and plugs. The walleyes were attracted by a red, yellow and black fly which went deep."
The party reported a 20 ½ pound northern, measuring 45 inches, an 18 pound lake trout, a six and one-half pound walleye and a seven-pound land-locked salmon.
