Oestreich, Kenneth (John) (4 OCT 1917 - 5 OCT 2010)
WISCONSIN RAPIDS -- Kenneth (John) Oestreich, 93, of 130 Strawberry Lane, Wisconsin Rapids, went to his eternal home Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. The Rev. Daniel Bohn will officiate. Burial will be in Port Edwards Cemetery.
Kenneth was born Oct. 4, 1917, to Christian and Matilda Oestreich. He married Olive Odebrech on Aug. 5, 1940. They farmed in the Loyal, Granton, Spencer and Dorchester areas. They moved to Wisconsin Rapids in 1985. Olive passed away Jan. 29, 1991.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. He also was a member of the Model T Club. Kenneth enjoyed driving and fixing his old cars.
Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Barbara Manz of Wisconsin Rapids and Kathy (Lanny) Auberg, Surprise, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Eric (Sue) Auberg of Wisconsin Rapids, Jayne (Jerry) Endries of Spencer, Dawn (Dan) Poppe of Marshfield, Barb (Raye) Kubsh of Marshfield, Tammy (Bob) Klingforth of Wisconsin Rapids; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Pete (Birdine) Oestreich of Sun Prairie; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joesephine Ploman; seven brothers, Milton, Albert, Ben, Everette, Ralph, Chris, Oscar and son-in-law, Jim Manz.
Friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards from noon Friday until the time of services.
The family would like to thank Our House Assisted Living, Ministry Hospice, and Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center for the great care.
Memorials will be set up for Trinity Lutheran Church and Ministry Hospice Services.
