Kurasz, Rosemary (Marriage - 20 June 1959)
Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Rosemary Kurasz and Bernard Murphy in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decked with baskets of flowers.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Kurasz, Rt. 3, Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy, Rt. 1 Greenwood.
For her wedding the bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin, in traditional white. The very bouffant skirt was of lace and tulle and the fitted bodice was fashioned with a tulle yoke edged with sequins, and a Mandarin neckline, long fitted sleeves came to a point over the hand. The ballerina length veil, edged in imported silk illusion lace, was attached to a sequin and pearl trimmed tiara. Her bridal bouquet consisted of a centered orchid surrounded by roses.
Miss Marjorie Murphy, sister of the groom, served as maid of honor. Mrs. Roland Stenulson, cousin of the bride, was her bridesmaid.
James Kurasz was bestman, while Edward Kurasz served as his groomsman. Lee Kurasz and Eugene Schutte ushered.
Billy Kurasz, brother of the bride, carried the rings, and Diane Johnson was the flower girl.
On their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin they will reside on RT. 3, Neillsville.
