Clintsman, Nellie (Marriage - 20 June 1959)

 

The Grace Methodist Church in Greenwood was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Nellie Clintsman, and James Goetz, both teachers in the Marshfield schools.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clintsman, Rt. 1, Greenwood, and Mr. Goetz is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Goetz, Rt. 4, Stevens Point.

 

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ethel B. Nulton, pastor of the Methodist Church. Candelabra and baskets of pink and white peonies formed the church decorations.

 

Miss Clintsman was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white Chantilly lace and ruffled tulle over taffeta.  The ballerina-length gown was styled with a Sabrina neckline and short sleeves.  Her veil of silk illusion fell to her finger tips from a crown headpiece of pearls and sequins.  Her bridal bouquet consisted of a centered white orchid, surrounded by stephanotis and satin ribbons.

 

Miss Marie Clintsman, Pine Ridge, Ky., attended her sister as maid of honor. She wore a ballerina-length gown of white frosted nylon over light blue taffeta.  Highlighting the dress was a blue cummerbund. She carried a bouquet of white feathered carnations.

 

William Goetz, Stevens Point, attended his brother as best man. Ted Clintsman, brother of the bride, and Lloyd Wallin, Plover, uncle of the groom ushered.

 

Wedding music was furnished by William Goetz, Jr., who sang, "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer" accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Ray Tomczak.

 

A reception in the church parlors followed.  Mr. and Mrs. Goetz have left on a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin and on their return will make their home in Marshfield.

 

The former Miss Clintsman is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and Stevens Point State College. She has been teaching at the Lincoln School in Marshfield.  Mr. Goetz, a graduate of the Stevens Pint State college and will teach in the public schools in Marshfield.
