Beitzinger, Lavina (23 March 1901 - 14 July 1959)
Mrs. Al Beitzinger died in Long Beach, Calif., July 14, following a heart attack, according to word received here. Funeral services were held in Milwaukee July 21.
The former Lavina Tietsch was born in Muscatine, Ia., March 23, 1901. She was married to Owen Smith of Loyal, October 19, 1920. He died in 1951.
She is survived by her second husband; by two daughters, Mrs. L. G. (Leila) Anderson, Loyal, and Mrs. Frank (Juanita) Mackal, Jr., Milwaukee; a son, Dale Smith, Grafton; and three step-children, Alois Beitzinger of West Allis and Jerome Beitzinger and Mrs. Jerry Gayette of Milwaukee. Three brothers, Frank Tietsch, Mishawaka, Ind., Harold Tietsch, Owen, and Curtis Tietsch, Laredo, Tex., and three sisters, Mrs. Mable Altmann, Muscatine, Ia., Mrs. Floy Schnoor, Owen, and Mrs. Ruth Lobdell, Montpelier, Ia., also survive, as do 19 grandchildren.
Among those attending the funeral were the following from this area: Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Anderson and children, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tietsch, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Mrs. Fly Schnoor, Owen; and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Luscher, Medford.
