Dommer, Hilda N. (Wiersig) (November 29, 1921 - September 27, 2010)
Hilda N. Dommer, 88, Colby, passed away at the Colonial Center in Colby, on September 27, 2010.
Hilda was born on November 29, 1921 to Emma (Hass) and Ewald
Wiersig.
She was a graduate of Colby High School. Hilda was joined in marriage to Leonhard Dommer at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby on June 24, 1950.
Hilda enjoyed gardening, farming, and was a sports fan. She was
also an involved member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Leonhard, of Colby; her
children, Arlene Dommer of Colby, Ken (Jermaine) Dommer of Green
Bay, Karen (Carl) Riske of Neenah, and Ron Dommer of Colby; two
grandchildren, Joel (Amanda) Riske of Menomonee Falls and Dan (Jill) Riske of Appleton. Hilda is further survived by her sister,
Olga Behrens of Colby.
Hilda is preceeded in death by her grandson, Logan Riske; brothers,
Reinhardt Wiersig, and Harold Wiersig; and sisters, Frieda Wiersig
and Ella Wellman.
Her funeral service will be Thursday, September 30 at Zion Lutheran
Church in Colby at 11 a.m. Pastor Mark Neumann will preside.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. at the church on Thursday. Burial will
take place at Colby Memorial Cemetery in Colby following the
service.
Memorials may be donated to the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
