Slowinski, Anton (26 AUG 1872 - 21 MAR 1956)
Anton Slowinski, 83, a resident of Stanley for many years, died at his home on Wednesday morning.
He was born in Poland, Aug. 26, 1872. He learned the harness trade in Poland as a boy, and immigrated to the United States in 1890, settling in Chicago where he was a harness maker. In 1898 he moved to Pulaski, Wis., where he operated a harness shop for five years. Then he moved to Stanley where he had since resided and operated a harness shop.
He married Anna Pasieta in Chicago on June 17, 1895.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, John of Stanley, Anton of Eau Claire, Theodore of Chicago, and Henry of Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Barthels of Wausau, Mrs. Mary Seufzer of Owen, and Mrs. Josephine Bivans of Stanley; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
