Stroinski, Stella #3 (30 MAR 1866 - 29 APR 1956)
Funeral services were conducted by Father Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Thursday morning for Mrs. Stella Stroinski, who passed away of old age infirmities at her home in the City of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on April 29th, 1956. She had reached the age of 90 years on March 30, 1956.
The deceased was born in Poland where she was united in marriage to Anton Stroinski in 1886. They came to America in 1888 and were engaged in farming until 1936 when they moved to the City of Thorp. This has been her home since. Her husband passed away in 1948.
She was the mother of nine children, of whom three sons, Joseph, Michael and Ted, and one daughter, Anna Domzalski, preceded her in death.
Surviving her are two sons, Frank of Chicago and John of Thorp; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Wehlacz, Mrs. Antonette Strzelecki and Mrs. Vernie Teclaw of Thorp; 28 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Leo Strzelecki, Malen, Marion and Norbert Teclaw and Victor and Edwin Wehlacz.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Chicago, Lombard, Ill., Mt. Prospect, Ill., St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Sioux City, Iowa.
