Butek, Theodore (20 FEB 1880 - 25 APR 1956)
Theodore Butek, 76, a farmer in the Town of Ford, R. 2, Gilman, Taylor Co., passed away at his home there on Wednesday, April 25th, 1956 of old age infirmities.
The deceased was born in Russia on Feb. 20, 1880. He was united in marriage there in 1900 to Mary Sehelia. They came to America in 1910 and settled in Chicago where they resided until coming to Taylor County in 1949.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Leonard of Gilman and William of Thorp; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Potapenko of Stanley and Elizabeth Schuning of Homeward, Ill., 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Michael Chervinsky at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church at Lublin on Saturday, April 28, interment following in the parish cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
