Lindquist, Jennie E. (16 JUL 1890 - 9 JUL 1956)

 

Miss Jennie E. Lindquist, 655 Lakecrest Drive, Menasha, died Monday morning, July 9, about 9 o’clock at Theda Clark Hospital, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage that morning about 7 a.m.

 

Jennie was born July 16, 1890, at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and graduated from Thorp High School.  She taught school for several years, then attended a business college in Minneapolis and since then had been engaged in office work.  She has lived in Menasha for the past 5 years.  She was a member of the First Congregational Church, of the Order of Eastern Star, Menasha, the White Shrine of Appleton, and the Business and Professional Women’s Club.

 

There will be an Eastern Star Memorial service at Menasha Tuesday evening, and a service at the Westgate Funeral Home in Neenah, Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

 

The body will be at the Thorp Funeral Home Wednesday evening.  Services will be conducted by Rev. Cecil Ward at the Funeral Chapel Thursday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m., and interment at East Thorp Cemetery at Thorp.

 

Survivors are five brothers, Lawrence, Russell and Durward of Menasha, Charles of Colusa, Calif., and Kenneth of Thorp, and five sisters, Miss Ella Lindquist of Menasha, Mrs. Chester A. Johnson (Minnie) of Thorp, Mrs. Floyd G. Holstein (Esther) of Stevens Point, Mrs. Walter A. Schoen (Ruth) of Green Bay, and Lorraine of Chicago.  Lorraine is in Europe and could not be reached.  A brother, Donald, preceded her in death in 1922.
