Offord, Evon (14 JUL 1956)

Miss Evon Offord, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Offord, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father, Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock when she became the bride of Donald Pitt, son of Mrs. Gunda Pitt, Milwaukee.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ralph Claybaugh at the Reseburg First Congregational Church.  A reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride chose a floor length gown of white net and lace over satin, styled with Chantilly lace bodice.  A scalloped neckline and long sleeves fashioned the fitted bodice.  A princess crown of tulle appliqued with seed pearls held her veil of imported silk illusion.  She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow and white roses.

Miss Elva Klarr, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Yvonne Pitt, a sister of the groom, was bridesmaid.  Karen Offord, niece of the bride, was flower girl.  She carried a basket of red roses.

Best man for the groom was Jon Pitt, a brother of the groom, and groomsman was Edward Bobb, a cousin of the bride.  Gladys Bobb was organist and Orfa Marshall was soloist.  Ushers were Arles Offord, brother of the bride, and Gilbert Pitt, brother of the groom.
