Hodorowski, Albert J. (20 MAR 1867 - 22 JUL 1956)

 

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Wednesday morning, July 25th for Albert J. Hodorowski, a retired farmer of the Township of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), Father Connie Chilicki officiating at the Requiem High Mass.

 

Mr. Hodorowski passed away at the home of his son Harry of old age infirmities on Sunday, July 22nd, 1956.  He had reached the age of 90 years, 4 months and 2 days.

 

The deceased, who was born in Krosuse, Austria on March 20, 1867, has been a resident of this community since 1907 when he located on a farm in the Town of Withee, and which is now owned by his son Harry.  He came to America in 1895 and lived at Pittsburgh, Pa., and the city of Milwaukee where he was united in marriage to Mary Musial on July 20, 1899 at St. Casimir’s Church.

 

His wife passed away on Jan. 13, 1954, one daughter, Clara Hodorowski Czernicki died Jan. 13, 1939, a daughter, Molly five months old and one son, Adam who died in infancy.

 

Surviving him are four sons, Joseph and John of Milwaukee and Harry and Frank of Thorp; four daughters, Mrs. John (Anna) Tomkowiak, Mrs. Bill (Helen) Leski of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joe (Rose) Zielinski of Stratford and Mrs. Alfred (Pauline) Zielanis of Thorp; 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, also nieces and nephews.

 

Burial was made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Adam Wiater, John Mikrut, Joseph Lang, Joseph Konieczny, Frank Burzynski and Stanley Hucker.

 

Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral of Albert Hodorowski here on July 25th were: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hodorowski and Joseph Jr., Mr. John Hodorowski, Mr. and Mrs. John Tomkowiak, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Leski, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Brezezinski, Mrs. Connie Gryskiewicz and Sandy, Mrs. Joseph Czernicki and Joe Jr., Mr. Andrew Musial, John Musial, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Musial and Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Don BeyDreis, Mrs. Margie Windsor and children, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zeilinski, June and Joyce of Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Trevel and family of Galena, Ill.  Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Tomkowiak and Bobby of Loyal; Mrs. Sophie Lanieski and Tony and Felix of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Chemlik and family of Cornell; Albert Wink Jr. of Fort Carson, Colo.
