Miss Arlene Eva Kangas and Patrick Raymond Telford, both of Milwaukee, were married Saturday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Hurley, Wis. The Rev. A. L. Maki read the nuptial vows for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sulo H. Kangas, Hurley, and the son of Raymond Telford, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis.
The bride wore a waltz length gown of Chantilly lace with bouffant skirt. The Basque bodice, with round neckline and long sleeves buttoned at the wrist, buttoned down the back to the waist. A sweetheart crown of matching lace trimmed with tiny pearls, secured her fingertip veil of illusion with scalloped, rolled edge. Her bouquet of roses and candy tuft was tied with white satin ribbon.
Miss Rose Lee Autio, cousin of the bride, as maid of honor, and Mrs. Edward Sandel as the bridesmaid, wore strapless waltz length gowns with matching jackets and headbands of flowers matching their dresses, trimmed with net. Miss Autio wore ice blue and Mrs. Sandel’s gown was shrimp colored.
Marion Witek, best man, and Robert Campbell, groomsman, attended the bridegroom. The ushers were Donald and Darell Kangas, cousins of the bride.
Following a wedding trip to Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin, Mr. and the new Mrs. Telford will reside at 2302 W. Galena St., Milwaukee.
