De Graw, Harry (4 November 1881 - 3 August 1959)
Funeral services for Harry De Graw were held in the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. David Passet, Spencer, officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mr. De Graw was born in the Town of Sherman November 4, 1881. He was married to Violet Jefferies at Spencer January 30, 1924. All of his life was lived on a farm in the Town of Sherman until six years ago when he moved into the city of Loyal.
He had been in ill health for several years and death occurred at his home, Monday afternoon, August 3.
Masonic rites were held at the graveside. The Mason and Star organizations attended the funeral in a body.
The hymns, "Abide With Me" and "I Know not What the Future Hath," were sung by James Colby. Mrs. Byron Zepplin was the organist.
Pallbearers were Neil Johnston, Vernard Kauffman, Thomas Berg, Jesse Raab, Orin Trindal and Harvey Brussow.
Mr. De Graw is survived by his wife and a brother, Orley De Graw of Peterborough, Ont. Canada.
Out of town people attending the funeral were Orley DeGraw of Canada; Guy Vanderhoof, Alfred Vanderhoof, Mrs. Maude Sleyster and Mrs. M. N. Hein of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Blank, Cochrane; Mrs. Blanche B____, Northville, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tennis and son, Conde, S. D.; Mrs. Berthold Lenling, Groton, S. D.; Mrs. Lydia Vanderhoof and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bymer, Spencer; Edward Voelker, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Emling, Abbotsford.
