Lepke, Marie K. (13 NOV 1916 - 28 OCT 2010)
Marie Lepke, 93, of Marshfield, formerly of Neillsville, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at the Deerview Meadows Assisted Living Facility in Marshfield.
For years, they owned and operated Pinky's Tavern in Neillsville and Marie also cleaned offices in the area. They purchased their home at 509 W. 14th St. in Neillsville on April 15, 1969. They retired in the early 1970s.
After Wade died on Feb. 14, 1989, Marie loved to travel. She went on a cruise and she especially enjoyed going to the casino. She also enjoyed spending two winters in California with a friend. Due to Alzheimer's disease, Marie moved to Deerview Meadows assisted living facility in August 2006.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade James Lepke; an infant daughter, Janet Marie Lepke; her parents, Martin and Daisy Reinart; and her stepfather, Henry Hubing. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lillian, Susan and Irene; and nine brothers, Martin, Clarence, Peter, William, Joseph, Arnold, John, Lawrence and George.
A Mass of Christian burial for Marie will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. The celebrant will be the Rev. Woodrow H. Pace. Music will be provided by Ronald Resong, organist and St. Mary's Choir.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
Casket bearers are Lubo Hanuszczak, Dale Reinart, Larry Reinart, Raymond Reinart, Paul Schultz and Richard Schultz.
