Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wachholz are leaving Friday for an overnight visit with the Edwin Wachholz family in Westfield, and on Saturday will accompany Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wachholz to Highland, where they will attend the wedding of Mr. Wachholz’s great niece, Miss Marcia Anklam. Miss Anklam is also a niece of Mrs. Martha Jaster, formerly of Neillsville.
Mrs. Robert Smukal and son were honored guests Saturday evening when they celebrated their birthdays at a family gathering at the home of her mother, Mrs. Alma DeCremer.
Miss Hilda Kurth has returned from Milwaukee, where she received medical care. Miss Elsie Wolf is staying with her.
Mrs. Ida Pohlkamp of Milwaukee spent last week with her brother, Arnold Drescher, and his family.
Robert Drake had completed summer studies at Winona State College and is now with his family in La Crosse. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Drake of Neillsville, he is working on a master’s degree in education. He will teach in De Soto again this fall.
Miss Kitty Schmidt of Madison visited last weekend with Carol West and Jeanie Svetlik.
Sylvia West, Eleva-Strum High School home economics instructor, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James West.
The John Bergemann family visited the Chap Paulson family at Wisconsin Dells Sunday.
