Hagen, Carol Jean (5 May 1937 - 18 October 2010)
Carol Jean Sturtz Hagen, 73, a resident of the Neillsville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville for the past eight years, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the house of the Dove in Marshfield, where she had been admitted as a patient earlier this past week.
She was born in Loyal May 5, 1937, to parents Howard Sr. and Cassie (Gray) Sturtz. She grew up in Loyal and attended Loyal Public Schools. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed making crafts.
She is survived by her children, Connie (Jeff) Strack, Dale (Robin) Hagen, John (Pam) Hagen, Lois (John) Halverson, Nancy (Tom) Gorst, Dennis (Colette) Hagen, Sharon (Jeff) Kundinger, Larry Hagen and Julie (Garrett Kuhn) Hagen; 29 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers, Donald Sturtz of Powhatan and Howard (Virginia) Sturtz II of Eau Claire.
Preceding Carol in death are her mother, Cassie Gray Sturtz in 1953 (age 53); her father Howard Sturtz Sr. in 1993 (age 91); a brother, Herbert in 1928; a sister, Bernadine Miller in 2005; and a son Wilbur Howard Hagen in 2000.
Funeral arrangements will be at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. There will be a cremation with the funeral services at a later date.
