Hubing, Marilyn (Marriage - 5 September 1959)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in a 9 a.m. ceremony by Miss Marylin Hubing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hubing of Neillsville, and John M. Gregorich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Gregorich of Greenwood. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann before an altar banked with bouquets of white gladioli.

For her wedding Miss Hubing wore a pure silk Peau de Soie gown trimmed with Chantilly lace at the bateau neckline.  The full bouffant skirt of floor length was fashioned with a bow caught peplum and a back panel of lace insert that flowed into a brush train.  Long lace sleeves came to a point at the wrists. An English imported veil of silk illusion was attached to an all-pearl Swedish crown.

She carried a crescent bouquet of a white orchid surrounded with yellow roses and white gladioli.

Miss Carol Nauertz was maid-of-honor and her bridesmaid was Miss Nancy Kuehn.  Both attendants wore identical taffeta ballerina-length gowns in iridescent tangerine, with tucked bodices and flare skirts, with flat bows down the back of the skirts.  Matching clip bows were attached to the blush veils.

They carried basket-shaped bouquets of yellow and tangerine baby roses and white asters.  Green velvet ribbons, which formed the handle of the baskets, cascaded from the bouquet.

Mr. Gregorich was attended by his brother, Edward, as bestman.  Groomsman was Adrian Hubing, brother of the bride, and ushers were John Hubing and Charles Klapatauskas of Withee.

St. Mary’s children’s choir furnished the music.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and dinner and supper were served in the church hall, and were attended by 175 guests.

On their return from a wedding trip to eastern part of the state Mr. and Mrs. Gregorich will reside in River Falls, where the groom will be a senior this year at Wisconsin State College.  The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and an Eau Claire school of beauty culture. She has been employed in Neillsville.

Guests from away were from Bernard, Iowa; Mundelein, Ill.; Chicago, Ill.; Milwaukee, Hudson, Kendall, Cashton, Coon Valley, Rockland, Loyal, Greenwood, Willard, Rice Lake, City Point, Merrillan, and Athens.
