The Alfred Foemmel home on Rt. 1, Neillsville, was the scene Saturday of the wedding of their daughter, Miss Carol Foemmel, to Steve Schlinsog, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schlinsog of Rt. 1, Granton. The double ring candlelight ceremony was performed at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Warren Henderson, pastor of the Veefkind Community Church, before a background of baskets of garden flowers of gladioli and zinnias.
Miss Foemmel was attired in a princess style street-length dress of figured blue taffeta, fashioned with elbow-length sleeves and a "V" neckline. A corsage of yellow roses and tiny whie rosebuds was pinned to her shoulderline.
Miss Donna Sevens of Loyal, a cousin of the groom, was her bridesmaid. She wore a pink taffeta dress with a net top. Her corsage was made up of pink roses and white rose buds.
Andrew Balzer of Medford attended as bestman.
Twenty guests attended the reception at the home of the bride’s parents.
The young couple will reside on Rt. 1, Granton, where the groom is engaged in farming with his father.
Mrs. Lottie Mills of Loyal, grandmother of the bride, was among those from out-of-town who attended the wedding.
