Schuette, Margaret (13 JULY 1867-? 1949)
Mrs. Margaret Schuette, 81, who resided with her son, Walter, in the town of Beaver, died there last week Thursday. Her death was the result of infirmities of age.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at St. Luke’s Lutheran church in South Green Grove, the Rev. M. C. Goetsch of Colby officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery..
Miss Darlene Lulloff of Owen and Miss Lucille Augustine of Colby sang "Under His Wing" and "Let Me Go." They were accompanied by Mrs. Goetsch.
Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Ottmar Schuette, Mrs. Donald Smith, Mrs. Wesley Schwartz and Mrs. Carl Zarnstorff.
Mrs. Schuette (nee Margaret Rabenhorst) was born on July 13, 1867, at Cooperstown, in Manitowoc county. Her parents were William and Louise Rabenhorst. On May 29, 1886, she was married to August Schuette at Montpelier. After marriage, they farmed in Kewaunee county until 1909, when they moved to Clark county to the farm now owned by his son, Walter, with whom Mrs. Schuette made her home at the time of her death. Her husband died in 1935. She was a member of St. Luke’s congregation.
The surviving children are George Schuette of Genoa City, Mrs. Fred Kluenker of Manitowoc, Mrs. Arnold Witt of Stanley, Walter and Lester Schuette of Unity, and a step-son, Albert, of Manitowoc. One son preceded her in death. There are 19 living grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Ida Karnopp, of Luxembourg and a brother, Robert Rabenhorst, of Manitowoc survive Mrs. Schuette. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
