Grosnick, Ida (26 SEPT 1885-09 JUNE 1949)

 

Mrs. Henry Grosnick, 63, who came to the town of York in 1916, died at her home there at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 9. She had been ill for about a year.

 

The Rev.J. C. Langholz conducted funeral services at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran church here, with burial in the Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Emil Schoenfeld, GeorgeDahl, Leo and George Kronberger, Leo Schecklman and William Diercks.

 

Mrs. Grosnick, the former Ida Mathilda Haut, was born on Sept. 26, 1885, in the town of Belle Plaine, in Shawno county, and was married there on June 20, 1911, to Henry Grosnick.

 

She spent most of her time in this vicinity but lived for a time in Lyons, Ill., and Milwaukee.

 

Surviving besides her husband are five children: Mrs. Joseph (Alice) Ricks of Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Margaret McNaul of Loyal, Mrs. Clarence (Georgiana) Stellow of Milwaukee, and Miss Doris Grosnick at home. A son, Alfred, preceded her in death.

 

Other survivors are: three brothers, Albert Haut of Wausau, Charles Haut of Bellfield, S. D., and Paul Haut of Shawano, and two sisters, Mrs. John Schultz of Shanawo and Mrs.

Edward Steinke of Wausau.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved relative.
