Peter and Joyce Horacek celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 19, 2010, at the Athens Community Hall, along with their family.
They have five children and 20 grandchildren, of which one is deceased.
Peter Horacek and the former Joyce Kopp were married on September 24, 1960, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Athens, with Father Myron Meinen presiding.
A reception, dance and buffet luncheon were held for family, relatives and friends. Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchman provided the music for dancing and listening pleasured. Over 350 guests were present for the afternoon of fun.
Guests were from Iowa, Crandon, Rhinelander, Shawano, Woodruff, Stevens Point, Plover, Wisconsin Rapids, Mauston and surrounding areas.
